Summer in Obrenovac – Post-Flood Solidarity Festival

Civic Initiatives and partner organizations launched “Summer in Obrenovac” to bring positivity and support to a town severely affected by the 2014 floods. We created the festival’s visual identity, social media materials, and an animated spot aired on MTV, helping reinforce a message of solidarity and renewal for the local community.

Obrenovac, a Serbian town, suffered the greatest damage during the unprecedented floods of May 2014. A large part of the population was evacuated to safety, and in the period that followed, the town remained in an extensive process of recovery and reconstruction. Many cultural and public activities traditionally organized in previous years were cancelled.

In response, Civic Initiatives, in collaboration with partner organizations, organized a five-day festival titled “Summer in Obrenovac.” The aim of the event was to support the local community and to demonstrate that they had not been forgotten, and that people across the country continued to stand with them and offer support.

Numerous companies contributed by donating products and services, helping the festival become a meaningful and widely supported community event.

Our team designed the festival logotype, developed social media materials including covers, thumbnails, and promotional visuals, and produced an animation that was broadcast on MTV in the days leading up to and during the festival.
