Project

Blue Week Cyclist Route - Signage & Wayfinding System

We designed a signage and wayfinding system to guide cyclists along a two-day Danube route between Kladovo and Drobeta Turnu Severin. Using maps, flyers, and info boards, the system highlights cross-border culture, Roman heritage, and striking landscapes—offering a unique cycling experience between Serbia and Romania.

We had the fantastic opportunity to design a map, supplemented with information on flyers and info boards, to guide visitors during a two-day cycling adventure between Kladovo and Drobeta-Turnu Severin. These destinations are still relatively unknown to tourists but are easily accessible by bike.

Along the route, cyclists could explore the similarities and differences between the cultures living across the border, visit important monuments dating back to Ancient Rome, and enjoy the local hospitality and cuisine. The Danube and surrounding landscapes offered unforgettable views on both sides of the border. A highlight of the route was the Đerdap Dam, which can be crossed by bicycle, providing a completely new perspective of the area.

It was a pleasure to work on this project and to experience the region firsthand. We strongly recommend this route and invite all adventure seekers to explore and enjoy both Serbia and Romania.
